Hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’m still stuffed and enjoying leftovers, but I HAVE to tell you about this new recipe I tried. I keep my menu pretty simple and traditional, but I’ve been wanting to try a fresh green bean casserole recipe this year and I finally found one that sounded simple and amazing – and I was right! I enjoy a recipe that you can prep ahead of time and that, of course, tastes delicious and this one hit all the marks. Everyone went back for seconds and thirds! This is one dish that didn’t have leftovers, so I will be doubling my recipe next year [note to self]. Check it out over at Kitchen meets girl along with her other great recipes!
I don’t know about you, but Thanksgiving is hands down one of my favorite holidays. The food, the family, the food…the food. I’ve been hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the last 7 years and we usually having about 15 dinner guests. Each year I try to keep it simple, but delicious. I found this handy little chart from simplemost that takes all the guesswork out of portion sizes and servings sizes! Isn’t it fantastic?
This has definitely helped to take some of the stress off of the planning and prep. Another thing that will help take some of the stress off is rounding up on the number of recommended bottles of wine 😉 That’s my little piece of expert advice.
Tell me – what’s your favorite thing about Thanksgiving?
